They will become the Voice of our Oceans.
The AfriOceans Warriors Awareness Hike – December 2009
On the 2 December 2009, 430 school children from 13 schools hiked 8 km along the coastline carrying the AfriOceans Warriors Scroll, a founding document that highlights 10 important issues affecting the oceans which they presented to waiting dignitaries.
The AfriOceans Warriors FIFA 2010 World Cup Green Goal – June 2010
Two days before the FIFA 2010 World Cup kicked off in Soccer City, on the 9 June 2010, 150 AfriOceans Warriors from 7 local schools claimed their right to clean and healthy Oceans. They collected over 100 bags of marine litter as they walked 7 km along the coast from Muizenberg to Fish Hoek in Cape Town in the Green Goal Operation Green and then formed a huge GOAL on the beach.
